A 7.1 Magnitude Earthquake Just Hit Mexico City

UPDATE: There has been at least 45 reported deaths.

Mere moments ago, a powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit Central Mexico. Many details are still unknown.

The quake's epicenter was south of Mexico City in the state of Puebla, and occurred at a depth of 32 miles below the surface.

Witnesses in Mexico City have already confirmed that the powerful tremor shook buildings, some of which had to be evacuated. We are still waiting for more specifics concerning the damage of the quake.

This is, unfortunately, not a new occurrence in Mexico, as an intense 8.1 magnitude earthquake killed at least 90 people earlier this month.

Our hearts go out to all those effected by by the damage of this natural disaster.
